Automatic Vertical Seam Welding Machine (EGW)

    • Applicable for both “bottom-to-up” and “top-to-bottom” tank construction

    • Equipped with electro-gas shielding welding process - for single pass welding (outside) and two sides shaping, also GMAW (FCAW) welding process for multipass welding. (GTAW welding process is optional)

    • Electro-gas welding process - with voltage sensing to weld vertical seams with excellent quality and high deposition rate. One operator can complete 2.4m long vertical seam welding within 1 hr.

    • Wind Shielding Standard frame - can travel along the shell plate or on the rail motorized, suitable for tank in 9m diameter or larger, shell plate width 1.6m to 2.8m/3m/3.2m (others optional)

    • Movable water-cooling copper slide and copper backing - to force welding seam shaping, greatly improves the welding quality & efficiency and reduces operator's work intensity. Two models for V and X type groove

    • Adopts servo systems and closed loop control system with current sensing, instantaneous feedback, automatic welding carriage to control welding gun's automatic stepping up speed to guarantee welding pool stability, maintain electrode stick out automatically with auto-traveling welding carriage

    • First X-ray qualification rate: ≥99.5%.

    • Mechanical performance meets low-temperature impact test requirement • Project implementation follows API650, ASME, AWS and other international standards.
